Welcome to Vincent Farm Elementary! My name is Jamie Basignani and I am the new principal at Vincent Farm. This year will be my 7th year as a principal and 19th year in BCPS. Prior to coming to Vincent Farm, I served as the principal at Middleborough Elementary in Essex. Before becoming a principal, I was an assistant principal at Perry Hall Elementary and Pinewood Elementary. I worked as an Instructional Coach at Dundalk Elementary and a classroom teacher at Oakleigh Elementary. I graduated from Goucher College with a Master’s degree in School Improvement Leadership and from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education. I am originally from Pittsburgh, but don’t worry, I’m a Ravens fan! 💜🖤
In addition to my new role at Vincent Farm, I serve as the president for the Association of Elementary School Administrators (AESA) for BCPS as well as a Peer Assistance and Review (PAR) principal.
Outside of school, I love reading, trying new restaurants, and watching Netflix 😉.
My husband, Derek, and I live in Perry Hall. We have two children, Nico (12) and Elianna (9). We also have a 3 year old Labradoodle named Bentley. On the weekends, we can be found on the soccer field, at a cheer competition, or hiking with Bentley. 🐾
I am beyond thrilled to become a member of the Farm. I look forward to meeting all of you at our upcoming events. Until then, enjoy the sunshine, read lots of books, and make lots of memories!
